On-site Interview Event Held in Vietnam
Kanagawa Prefecture has long cultivated ties with Vietnam through initiatives such as the annual “Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa” and, since 2018, the “KANAGAWA FESTIVAL in Vietnam.”
As part of these ongoing efforts, an on-site interview event was held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST)—Vietnam’s top science and engineering university—to connect talented Vietnamese students with companies in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Prior to the on-site interviews, online sessions were conducted to pre-match students with participating companies. Students who passed the initial screening were invited to the in-person interviews held on the day of the event.

During the event, students—though visibly nervous—presented their research enthusiastically and actively asked questions to company representatives.
While interpreters supported parts of the conversation, many students made a sincere effort to communicate in Japanese. Their earnest expressions and determination to convey their strengths left a memorable impression.

Several companies commented that they did not expect to meet such outstanding students, and some even extended more job offers than originally planned.
In addition to companies that provided job offers on the spot, several students were accepted as interns.
Through these internships, companies reaffirmed the students’ high capabilities and reported that hosting them brought positive stimulation to the workplace.
Participants also enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine during breaks between interviews, adding a cultural experience to the day’s activities.
