Japanese Language Classes Started in Hiratsuka City

This Japanese Language Classes are offered to foreign workers working at small and medium-sized enterprises in Kanagawa prefecture, as part of Kanagawa Prefecture’s initiative to support retention of foreign workers.
The class contents cover practical Japanese used in workplace and Japanese workplace customs.
In FY2025, 2 classes are held in both Hiratsuka City and Aikawa Town.
The Hiratsuka class started on November 6, 2025.

Being the first lesson, students were a bit nervous, but the friendly instructor quickly created a relaxed atmosphere.
Each class consists of 14 lessons, held once a week for 2 hours.

Report about Mongolia On-site Interview for Internship Recruitment

Tashiro Co., Ltd contributed an article to this website about an on-site interview for internship recruitment held at Mongolia.

Robolink Ambassador of the Sagami Robot Industry Special Zone in Kanagawa Prefecture.
After graduating from university, he joined Pasona Inc., a major recruitment agency, and at the same time, served as a director of the international volunteer NGO NICE. In 2019, he joined his family business, Tashiro Co., Ltd, where he focused on recruitment and promoting new businesses.
Taking the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity, the company began developing its own products and developed a “3-way pizza oven” for outdoor use. It raised 1.2 million JPY through crowdfunding, about three times its target amount.
It also won the grand prize of “LIFE×DESIGN Awards” at the TOKYO INTERNATIONAL Gift Show.
In 2023, Mr.Tashiro became the representative director of the company.
The company aims to boost Japanese industry from its small factory base, with the goal of becoming "Japan's most challenging venture-type small factory”.
He has appeared in many media outlets, including SmartHR Agenda, TV program of TV Tokyo's "Things That Aren't in Textbooks," and BS TV Tokyo's "Wings of Growth."
  1. 1.Introduction: Overview of the On-Site Interview Event

    In November 2025, Tashiro Co., Ltd. joined the “On-Site Interview Event with 3 Mongolian College of Technology” organized by Kanagawa Prefecture and Kanagawa Industrial Promotion Center (KIP).
    I would like to share my wonderful experience that I had with Mongolian College of Technology students during the stay in Mongolia through this report.
  2. 2.About Mongolia: Vast Land and Japan-Friendly Environment

    Mongolia is a country with four times the land area of Japan. The population is about 3.5 million and nearly half the population concentrated in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
    Many Japanese cars were driven in the city, reflecting the strong presence of Japanese manufacturing. During our visit, we experienced harsh winter conditions with temperatures dropping below -10°C and snowfall on the third day.
    We also find many Korean products and stores, seeing the active interaction with neighboring countries.

  3. 3.Colleges of Technology: Learning Based on the Japanese Educational Model

    We visited 3 College of Technology:MUST Kosen College of Technology, New Mongol College of Technology, Mongol Kosen College of Technology.
    These schools adopt Japan’s technical college educational model, emphasizing a blend of theory and practice.
    Students actively participate in robotics competitions and design contests, demonstrating strong motivation.
    Japanese language education is prioritized, and greetings in Japanese were common on campus.
    Each school supports students with excellent facilities and suitable environment for studying.

  4. 4.Details: On-Site Interview

    Students who attended prior company briefings held online selected their preferred companies for interviews.
    Basketball is one of the popular sports in Mongolia and we had a lively conversation during the interview not only about the job but mentioning about basketball.
    Many students were fluent in Japanese and English and expressed deep interest in Japanese culture and anime.
    I felt their ambition and flexibility through the interview.
    Some showed strong interest in Japanese workplace customs and Japanese manners. They had positive attitude to learn new things.
    •Internship Plan: Tashiro Co., Ltd. is expecting up to 2 students as interns in January 2026, based on mutual agreement.

    His English and Japanese skills were excellent.

    Mongolian students value experience and learning, with rapid improvement in Japanese-language proficiency. Many pursue graduate studies in Japan, reflecting their strong academic drive. I was impressed by their ambition and passion to new challenges.

    Average wages per company is about one-third of Japanese company, and many people hold multiple jobs for living.

  6. 6.Future Prospects Through Collaboration with Japanese Companies

    Mongolia offers many opportunities where Japanese technology and expertise can make a difference. While some Mongolian working in Japan continues working in Japan, some decides to go home and start business in Mongolia, collaborating with Japanese companies.
    Through this visit to Mongolia, Tashiro Co., Ltd. made a big step towards exploring new possibilities with Mongolians.
    We look forward to making new possibilities with Mongolian students, valuing every encounter we get.
