• Working in Japan

  What inspired you to work in Japan, and why did you choose Kanagawa Prefecture?

  My first visit to Japan was during a high school trip, and I was deeply impressed by the natural beauty of Wakayama Prefecuture. Later, I passed the MEXT Program (Japanese Government Scholarship) exam and studied mechanical design in Tokyo. Sagamihara, where Enomoto Machine is located, was close to where I lived as a student, with good access to Tokyo and Yokohama. Kanagawa offers both convenience and opportunities for innovation.
  

• What was most important to you when choosing a job in Japan?

  I focused on balancing living costs, clear communication with the company, and a salary that supports my life.

• Why did you choose this industry and company?

  Enomoto Machine’s commitment to manufacturing excellence matched my desire to grow in a dynamic field. I felt it was an ideal environment for someone passionate about manufacturing. I was also attracted to the rapid technological progress in this field.
  

• How did you prepare to work in Japan?

  I studied Japanese and mechanical engineering before coming to Japan.

• About Your Current Job

  What are your current responsibilities?

  I work in the manufacturing department, supporting parts processing, assembly, and inspection for screw press machines. Through hands-on experience, I am building the knowledge needed for future design work. Sometimes, I travel to regional sites to assist with maintenance.

• When do you feel most fulfilled at work?

  I feel fulfilled at work when my effort bears fruit. Especially when I solve problems during maintenance. These moments give me a strong sense of achievement and motivate me to grow even more.

• How do you manage challenges at work?

  I sometimes face language barriers, but I consult with colleagues and friends to deepen my understanding. The workplace values step-by-step learning, and I am grateful for an environment where I can take on challenges with peace of mind.

• Life in Japan and Future Goals

  What surprised you most about life in Japan?

  I was impressed by the efficiency of public transportation, teamwork in the workplace, and the culture of mutual respect.
  

• What do you find attractive about living in Kanagawa?

  Kanagawa offers a perfect balance of nature and city life. The beaches of Enoshima remind me of home.

• What are your future goals in Japan?

  I aim to combine my on-site experience and design knowledge to contribute to more efficient and innovative machinery development. I want to learn from experienced colleagues and take on new challenges to deepen my expertise.

• Advice to People Who Wish to Work in Japan

  Any advice for those considering working in Japan?

  To keep an open mind and be flexible and learn not only about work but also about daily life.
  Don’t be afraid of making mistakes when speaking Japanese. Every conversation is an opportunity to learn and the fastest way to improve Japanese.
