  • 1.Interest in Japan and the ‘Fateful Encounter’ that led them here.

Please tell us about your background and your interest in Japan.
Berh-san: I am a fourth-year student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the New Mongol College of Technology.
My hobbies are volleyball and e-sports.
I fell in love with Japan after watching the anime Naruto as a child.
As I began studying Japanese after enrolling in this college, my interest deepened, and I came to strongly desire to work in Japan.
Khuslen-san:I am also a fourth-year student in the same department, and I enjoy playing the morin khuur and e-sports as well.
I became interested in Japan after attending an open campus event when I was in my third year of junior high school.
I hoped to learn advanced technologies directly on site in Japan.
In addition, my mother had lived in Japan before, which made the country feel especially familiar to me.

    2. What They Learned in the Japanese Workplace and the ‘Surprising Technical Excellence’

What left the strongest impression on you while working here?
Berh-san:Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming.
They explained things using easy-to-understand Japanese and were always considerate of us.
What surprised me most was how people spend their lunch break—turning off the office lights, eating lunch together, or even taking a short nap to rest.

Khuslen-san:I was impressed by the politeness of Japanese culture, such as lining up neatly for elevators and saying ‘sumimasen'.

    3. The Appeal of Kanagawa and the ‘Taste of Japan’ That Touched Their Hearts

What did you like most during your stay?

Khuslen-san:Kanagawa has beautiful night views and is less crowded than Tokyo.
It is quiet, full of greenery, safe, and surrounded by nature.
As for food, I especially enjoyed the rich ‘Yokohama Iekei’ ramen.
Berh-san:The food was wonderful—especially ramen, udon, and yakiniku.
When I miss my home country, I think eating yakiniku helps ease the loneliness.
  • 4. Looking to the Future: How They Want to Build on This Experience

How do you think this internship experience will influence your future?

Berh-san:Having the opportunity to gain experience in such an excellent environment made me determined to work in Japan.
I want to firmly acquire technical skills and eventually contribute to my home country as well.
My parents are very supportive of my decision to work in Japan.
Khuslen-san:I am considering working in Japan, but I also wished that NOBLE ELECTRONIC had an office in Mongolia.
After acquiring skills, I hope to return to my home country in the future and work in Mongolia.

Message to Mongolian Students Who Aspire to Come to Japan

Berh-san:If you don’t understand something, don’t hesitate to ask and have it explained to you. I hope you can gain valuable experiences.
Khuslen-san: Since you are studying Japanese, make the most of this opportunity and learn more about Japan!
